Its Customer Service Is Surreally Good
Full disclosure: I do not own an active accnt with this brokerage as I write this.
Over a period of months, however, I have corresponded with several of its cus. service staffers concerning accnt opening procedures & funding options. Consistently, I've been impressed with their speedy turnaround time in relating answers in a friendly manner.
Prior to contacting this firm's support personnel, I'd known they function in a niche market for both new and established traders participating in the small-, micro-cap stock markets. Based in the Bahamas, ST can offer its client traders the ability to legally sidestep the American SEC pattern day trading rule (PDT). The SEC disallows traders registered with US-based brokerages to engage in four or more intra-day trades within a five-day period.
A second appeal of ST is its offering of various trading platforms that are chosen by-- rather than foisted upon--the client. Not unlike a basic menu, one can choose from amongst certain feature-rich platforms for additional fees or go with the basic ActiveWeb platform. The latter is accessible as a free service, a fact related to me by one of the co.'s staffers.
To date all questions I've presented to this brokerage have been quickly answered in a professional manner. They additionally have followed up on my most recent requests with feedback forms virtually beseeching me to rate their service. Imo, that can be taken as a co.'s commitment to excel in customer service.
